The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri - COVID-19 Response Fund
The Food Bank, in partnership with Feeding America, is continuing to serve the children, working adults, and seniors across its 32 counties. Many of our neighbors who never thought they might need assistance have turned to The Food Bank and their partner agency network for help.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia COVID-19 Relief Fund
The Boys & Girls Club keeps kids off the streets and gives them a positive place to spend their time out of school. During the COVID-19 outbreak, BGC is continuing with food curbside pickups for any child 5-18 years old and advancing virtual programming.
Love Columbia (formerly Love INC.) works with people in need from the ground up, showing them the way out of poverty. Love Columbia received 23 calls from literally homeless families with kids in the first two weeks of April, more than they usually receive in 2 years. A common thread, these families were already fragile before the pandemic, and employment loss forced them to the street. Homelessness is only amplified and elevated as a result of the negative impacts of COVID-19. Predictable, ongoing, funding to support these efforts is Love Columbia’s highest practical need.
