Rise Against Hunger

Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. In 2022, 67.6 million meals were distributed worldwide! Blacksburg United Methodist Church is hosting a Rise Against Hunger event in which we will assemble 15,000 rice-soy meals on Saturday, February 3, 2024. We will need 60-100 volunteers! Set-up starts at 8:30 followed at 10:00 by the event, which is planned professionally by the organization and will even have its own fun playlist.  It will be a church venture that we hope will include participants from the community.
