Chicken Stir Fry

Chicken Stir Fry
Ingredients:
½ t. garlic powder
½ t. onion powder
¼ t. ground ginger
1 T. brown sugar
2 T. soy sauce
1 T. cornstarch
⅔ c. cold water
1 lb. chicken pieces
2 T. vegetable oil or sesame oil
1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
1 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 c. fresh snow peas
1 can 8 oz. whole water chestnuts, drained and sliced
4 c. hot, cooked rice
Instructions:
(Step 1) Combine garlic powder, onion powder, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl and set aside.
Thinly slice chicken into pieces.
Preheat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.
Add green pepper, red pepper, and snow peas to wok or skillet. Cook until vegetables are crisp-tender, 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Push vegetables to the side of the wok or skillet. Add chicken and cook until chicken is lightly browned, 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add water chestnuts and stir vegetables and chicken together.
Stir in seasoning mixture from step 1. Bring to a boil and cook until mixture thickens slightly, 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Serve over hot rice.
